Children: | I have two wonderful children, and five grandchildren. Rebecca, graduated from University of San Francisco More…at age 37 and has her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing and her Certification as a CCT RN. Her daughter, Juliette, my first grandchild, graduated with honors from Will C. Wood High School and has been accepted into Sacramento State e. Jackson, 11, Ashlyn, 8, and Austin, 7. They are lovely and full of personality. I feel so blessed! Jonathan, 36 is married to Abby and both have graduated and have their master's degrees. They have both work very hard to put themselves through school, traveled the European continent and now They’re both working great jobs. We have a new addition now! Claire, our youngest grandchild was born 2 years ago in January 12th, 2016. She is a love and so happy most all of the time!! How time flies!! We live in Vacaville now, and we’re having a great time! I’m still singing and playing my 12-string guitar and have started leading music for a wonderful church, Trinity Baptist. 😊 If anyone remembers our class song , I would be more than happy to sing it and have you sing along with me! Anyway, there’s a whole lot of information on here and not necessarily in sequential order. We’re looking forward to seeing all of you!! 😊❤️😘🤗 |

Well, I've been singing and playing the guitar since I was 13, and don't think I'll ever quit. My husband, Steve, and I moved to Dixon, CA, from San Jose, after a huge bout with the loss of our house during the down turn of the economy. We have adapted well, however, and feel that it certainly was the right thing to do and we love the change. Besides Steve slowly building up clientele here in Solano County, we are only 8 miles away from our grandchildren but it's been a hard row to hoe. The transition from San Jose to Dixon was not that difficult, as we did manage to get involved in some community clubs like Kiwanis, Dixon Downtown Business Association, the Dixon Networking Association, The Farmer's Market, The Christmas Tree Lighting Festival, and The Festival of Trees, for Dixon Hotline. We have met so many people and feel such a welcoming presence by everyone in this little town. It's really a great place to be. I’m still doing all of this, just not as President now, in 2018.
We'll have to travel down to Clovis to see my son and daughter in law and our baby girl, Claire, of which there are no complaints. She’s a little dream!!
I lived in Del Monte Park as a youngster growing up. Going to school with people like Patty Forbes, Jesse Perez, Mike Weber, Doug Gadsky, Peter B. and Donna Jamarck, Patty Barter, Sue Dreyer, Tina Ruble, Katie Samora, Jerie Rook, Rosanna McCoy and many others, have been a very big part of why I had such great and fulfilling experience in school. We moved away for three years, to a little town called Greenfield, of which there was a little cabin up in the mountains of Arroyo Seco. My grandmother, who was living with us, made it possible for us to move there after camping in the resort area for so many years. We loved it there, so we decided to move there year round. It was a wonderful experience and one that will always be dear to my heart. We did move back to Pacific Grove in 1965 as it seemed to be the place closest to where we wanted to be. I loved the friends I'd met and seemed to keep them over the years. How lucky and blessed I am to have them all. Since our 40th reunion a few very close friends from PG High got together up here in our neck of the woods. Sue Dreyer Dills, who initiated the whole thing, came from Maryland to see her sons, and thought it might be nice for as many as could get together, would actually do it. Ones that came were Renee Pugget from Salinas, Patty Barter Marsh from Westpoint, CA, Tina Ruble from Sacramento, and Kathy Sullivan Richerson from Vacaville, and Suzanne Perry Lorente from Dixon, CA. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield for two nights, went to the Jelly Belly Factory, had dinner at Fuso's in Vacaville, and just experienced a most spectacular time. That was a reunion in itself and what blessing for all of us.
I’ve been a night club and Fine Dining House singer and then in 1976 began singing in the Los Gatos Christian Church Choir along with the man I fell in love with and married in 1980. He was the sound engineer for 33 years. He has had his own business for 52 years and has worked for many very well known singers, bands, orchestras , musicals in Broadway, and me! There isn’t anyone who can do as well as Steve Lorente when it comes to making a person sound amazing!!
It’s been a quite a ride and a very exciting life! Each family member is very special and the love we all have for each other is just beyond wonderful!!
This last summer my sweet sister, Charlynne, (and I have two amazing sisters, Patti and Charlynne, and one amazing brother, Kurt) and I took a trip to see family members on the East Coast. It was so wonderful seeing all of them and renewing relationships! One of those was my cousin Leni Lowe Scarr who lives in South Carolina. What a beautiful home right on the lake and a gorgeous place to live...and she escaped Hurricane Michael! Our trip up the East Coast by train and seeing loved ones and going on tours through WashintinD.C. Was so exciting and the trip was non-stop for 15 days!! Charlynne was also my guest at our 50th reunion!! It was so special to sing our class song. I can’t believe it’s been 54 years since I wrote that song, “We’re Reaching For Star.” That song was also sung at Charlynne’s 8th grade Graduation , just 4 years prior to singing it for our graduation.
I love getting together with friends and keeping them for a lifetime!! You all are so very special to me
